Finding the Unvaxxed

I recently rejoined a mainstream dating site to see what's new. I won't name the site, but in 2021, when I was there previously, they were pushing the vax heavily. People who declared themselves vaxxed were "rewarded" with a little icon on their profile to say so. In 2021, this was a great way to filter out those profiles.

Not everyone declared their status, and when I spoke with a few women there and asked their vax status, they were all proud to tell me they were vaxxed. When I declined to take things further, and gently told them why, some freaked out. One woman in particular used some very unladylike language! Clearly not a Jane Austen reader. It's one of the reasons I left that site and created this.

Anyway, as I say, I just revisited the site, and the vax icons are all gone. A few profiles proudly declare, in their text, that the owner is vaxxed, fully vaxxed, even 6x vaxxed. And with some other profiles, some photos, presumably from 2020-2, show them masked up. But the majority just said nothing about how they dealt with the pandemic. I checked about a hundred profiles, (all in the name of research, of course) and didn't find a single person declare herself vax-free.

This site also asks members as many questions as they're willing to answer - potentially hundreds of questions, from the most trivial things, to the most private and intimate questions. I must have checked at least 200 of these questions, but nowhere did I see a question about people's vax status. So it wasn't possible to filter towards people with the same mindset on this subject.

Whatever their reason for this, it tells me, for those of us who rejected the coercion in 2021-2 - for very good reasons - and who seek others like us, this site, Unjibbed, is still very much needed.

Back to optimising your profile here. As I say, the warning system checks for some fairly simple (but easily done) mistakes in profile choices. But there are more subtle things that aren't so easy to detect by code. Namely:
